Mama, Let’s Be Real—Parenting Is Tough, But You’re Not Alone

Hey there, Warrior Mama. Can we have a heart-to-heart for a moment? Parenting is no small feat. In fact, some days it feels downright impossible.

You’ve read the books. You’ve taken the classes. You’ve prayed your heart out. And yet, there are still days when it feels like you’re treading water, just trying to keep your head up. I’ve been there. And so has my dear friend Angela Meyers.

Angela’s Story: Learning and Leaning on God

Angela’s upbringing wasn’t easy. Her parents faced significant struggles raising their kids, and her brother battled addiction. But instead of throwing in the towel, Angela’s dad—who had never even considered attending a parenting class before—decided to do something radical: he learned how to parent differently.

As Angela pursued her master’s degree in family life education with a focus on parenting, she and her dad became true learning partners. He devoured every resource she shared, eventually stepping into a powerful mission—teaching parenting classes across the nation and blessing countless families along the way.

But while her dad was making waves teaching others, Angela was in the trenches, raising her own kids. Despite her extensive education and experience, Angela found herself, at times, completely overwhelmed.

You might think, If anyone’s got this parenting thing down, it’s Angela. But here’s what she confessed:

"This parenting stuff is so hard—and I’m supposed to know what I’m doing!"

If it was hard for her, sister, you better believe it’s okay if it feels hard for you too.

The Struggles We All Know Too Well

Have you felt it? The endless cycle of chores, homework battles, sibling squabbles, meal planning, and trying to instill responsibility and values... It’s exhausting. And let’s be honest—it often feels like we’re doing it all alone.

Angela’s heartfelt confession echoes what so many of us quietly ask:
Why is this so hard? Why does it seem like other moms have it together? Why can’t I find a system that actually works for my family?

Even with all her expertise, Angela found herself in need of a practical, faith-centered system to bring peace and purpose into her home.

A Solution Rooted in Faith and Practicality

Angela and her father joined forces to create something lasting—a system that tackled real family-life challenges: honesty, responsibility, family unity, budgeting, and more. What came from their efforts was the Kudos for Kids system—a beautiful blend of charts, cards, and “kudo cash” that helps kids not just manage chores but also save, plan, and take pride in their accomplishments.

The system is flexible, letting parents focus on the values that matter most to their family—whether that’s teamwork, manners, or responsibility. Angela’s children learned to save up for the things they wanted—like books, pets, even their own clothes—and in doing so, their confidence soared.

Angela reflects:
"When we teach our kids how to work and be responsible, it uplifts their confidence and strengthens their belief in their own abilities. They’d look at what they earned and think, ‘I did this,’ and that pride fueled even greater growth."

Trusting God to Lead the Way

What’s truly inspiring about Angela’s journey is how deeply she trusted God through it all. When her father’s original parenting program was no longer available, Angela felt God prompting her to step up and keep the vision alive—creating something new to serve today’s families.

Her story is a powerful reminder: even when we feel weary and uncertain, God’s grace is more than enough. His hand is guiding us—through every challenge, every prayer, every small step forward.

Be Encouraged, Warrior Mama

If today feels heavy, hold fast to this promise from God’s Word:
