Courage, Change, and Faith: Stories of Hope
Jun 23, 2021My Dearest Sisters of Radiant Faith,
In the midst of life's unpredictable twists and turns, there are two words that stand as beacons of strength: Courage and Change. These two concepts are intricately connected, and as we navigate the ever-shifting tides of existence, we are called to embrace both with unwavering faith. I know, my friends, that facing change, especially when it feels insurmountable, can be a daunting journey. But today, I want to share stories that reveal the power of courage and the grace of God in the face of transformation.
Facing the Waves of Change
Life has a way of surprising us with unforeseen changes, some of which can paralyze us with fear. I've personally encountered significant changes recently, and I'm opening my heart to you about one particular change that initially left me feeling powerless. However, with God's guidance, I was able to navigate through it. I share my journey in "6 Tips to Navigate Change with Success," where I hope you'll find inspiration to face your own challenges head-on.
In Joshua 1:9 (KJV), we are reminded, "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." These words, spoken to Joshua by God, echo through time to remind us that we are not alone in the face of change.
Courageously Trusting God in the Storm
Our sister Krista Isaacson's life took an unexpected turn when her daughter fell seriously ill. The weight of this change was heavy, but Krista faced it with unwavering courage and unshakable faith in God. In our podcast episode, "Krista Isaacson: Courageously Trusting God with Heavy Burdens," she shares her remarkable journey of leaning on the Lord when the waves of life threatened to overwhelm her. Her story is a testament to the resilience of a mother's love and the grace of our Heavenly Father.
In Isaiah 41:10 (KJV), God assures us, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Krista's story beautifully reflects the truth of this promise.
A Change in Perspective
Lastly, our beloved guest blogger, Jeanie Hanson, shares her profound journey of change and perspective. She opens her heart to us about her son with autism and the day when God transformed her overwhelm at potty training her child with special needs into a sacred moment. Her story, in "The Day God Changed My 'I Can't Do it Anymore' to I Can," is a testament to the divine wisdom that can come in the midst of change, and the hope that God provides in our moments of doubt.
Sisters, whether you are facing a life-altering change, a challenging diagnosis, or the weight of a mental health struggle, know this: You are never alone. The courage to face these challenges can be found within you, nurtured by the hand of our Almighty Father. His presence is your refuge, and His strength is your shield.
In Psalm 31:24 (KJV), we are reminded to "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Take these words to heart, my dear sisters, and know that, with God's help, you can brave the storms and face the changes life brings.
If you ever find yourself doubting your courage, remember this: You are part of a sisterhood of faith, and together, we can overcome anything. Hope lives within us, and it shines brightly in our collective journey.
With love, courage, and unwavering hope,
Tamara
